Job Summary
The Head of Department for Primary Education will provide leadership to ensure program alignment with national standards, oversee curriculum development, and support faculty in delivering effective and innovative teaching. The role also involves fostering collaboration, coordinating with stakeholders, and monitoring student progress to drive academic success. These positions are crucial in advancing our mission of providing quality education and efficient institutional management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and strategic oversight for the Department of Primary Education.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth within the department.
• Ensure the department’s programmes align with national education standards and emerging trends.
• Oversee curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation for primary education.
• Guide the development and delivery of science-related courses for teacher trainees.
• Encouraging the integration of innovative teaching methodologies and technologies.
• Ensuring teaching materials and methods are up to date and effective.
• Mentor and support faculty members in both primary education and science disciplines.
• Coordinating with other departments and external agencies to support educational initiatives.
• Monitoring student progress and implementing intervention strategies when needed.

Required Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Master’s degree in a science-related subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Teaching experience in primary and/or secondary education.
• Leadership experience in an academic or educational setting.
• Strong curriculum development skills and knowledge of teacher training methodologies.
